This photo was taken of my Basset Hound, her name is Princess Pumpkin Pie Piasecki, Pumpkin for short. She can say "My Mama!". This is a look that I live with daily, she is a constant poser for shots that evoke emotion.
You did a great job framing Pumpkin. You also did a great job of getting the emotion from your dog. Only thing I would suggest to improve upon would to try taking the photo without the flash.

What a cute photo! The dullness of the colors in the background really make pumpkin pop even more. You can always go back and sharpen your photo or play up the color levels to create even more emphasis or contrast in your subject.

This is great! I love the focus that her nose right in the camera gives you! The color is fabulous here, maybe tone down on the brightness of the photo, it may be a little over exposed. :>
