Krikac Hall Window

Composition Technique: Leading Lines
Element or Principle of Design: Lines, Unity
Exposure Mode: Manual
Aperature: 3.2
Shutter Speed: 1/15

This photo was taken in the auditorium of Krikac Hall. It is one of several stained glass windows facing the west side with the full afternoon sun shining in.

  1. The lines between the stained glass are great leading lines. The use of the leaves also help to show the unity of the window. I would suggest trying to set the exposure a bit lower; the light in the glass panes causes the colors to wash out.

What a beautiful photo. The blurred color that comes through the window gives a really luminous feel to the whole piece. I also loves the dark contrast between the black lines and light coming through the window. Maybe playing with your levels could create a really beautiful value and contrast that would make your colors appear a little less washed out.

This is by far my favorite photo!!!!!!!!!! The light that you captured is just perfect for this piece. I would have to say though that this is a good example of worm's eye view! the leading lines are there as well as the worm's eye view. I LOVE this!!!!!

  4. Beautiful shot. I would have came out a little so the frame of the window could frame your shot. Great shot!
